Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
1. Who we are
TestVPN.net is run by Climax Cyber Tech OÜ (Estonia), the controller of the personal data described here. The same company runs VPNTest.pro. Contact us about privacy at [email protected].
2. Server logs and security
Our web server records requests: IP address, date and time, page requested, status code and browser type, to keep the site secure and working. These logs are rotated and deleted after about one week. The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to protect and deliver the site. Our server is hosted in Germany. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
3. The VPN test
The test on /test runs against VPNTest.pro, operated by the same company. It shows your public IP address with its country, city and network, looked up in a database on our own server, and does not save it. The DNS leak check records the IP addresses of the DNS servers your browser uses and deletes them within 30 minutes. The WebRTC check runs in your browser and contacts a public STUN server operated by Google (stun.l.google.com). Country flags are loaded from GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com). Legal basis: legitimate interest in providing the test you asked to run (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It sets cookies and sends data to Google, so it only loads if you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you reject it, nothing is loaded and no cookie is set. Change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
5. Links to other sites
Reviews link to VPN providers' own websites. Links to Climax VPN on Google Play carry campaign tags that say which site the visit came from; they contain no personal data. Once you leave this site, the other site's privacy policy applies.
6. Transfers outside the EU
Google and Cloudflare may process data in the United States, relying on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing and a portable copy, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee) or the data protection authority where you live.
8. Changes
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
